About Bill Kill
Bill Kill is a licensed fintech startup helping users turn everyday bills into valuable rewards. Our platform makes it easy to pay invoices using reward-earning credit cards, unlocking more value from regular expenses. We launched in Norway in March 2020 and have doubled our revenue every year since. In 2024-just four years after launch-we reached profitability, a rare and significant milestone in the fintech world.
Bill Kill was founded in 2017 by Sonni Christine Jakobsen (CEO), Stian Strandem (CTO), and Erik Vasaasen, three fellow students at the University of Oslo -with a bold mission: to make fixed costs work harder for consumers.
In 2018, Andreas Limoli joined the founding team as Lead Developer, strengthening the technical core of the company.
We’ve been a licensed financial institution since 2019, approved by the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet).
Today, our founding team remains actively involved in daily operations, staying true to our startup spirit while scaling our impact.
Bill Kill is supported by a board of five professionals, each bringing valuable expertise from a range of industries. Our Chairman, Lars Henrik Krogh, is a seasoned entrepreneur who successfully exited a previous venture in 2022 and has worked closely with our CEO since that time. Co-founder Erik Vasaasen also serves on the board, offering deep technical and product insight from the company’s inception.
Our team consists of eight professionals who are not only highly skilled but also active users of the product they help develop. Together, we are committed to building smarter financial tools that deliver real value to our users.

Bill Kill is 100% founder-led and privately funded. We’ve never raised venture capital. Our only investors are a select group of angel investors, with the founding team retaining majority ownership. Profits are reinvested into growth, product development, and international expansion.
Following a successful launch in Sweden and strong early traction, we’re now focused on scaling rapidly into additional markets across the region and beyond. Our proven model is unlocking new opportunities for consumers to maximize their financial benefits, and we’re just getting started.

Sonni Christine Jakobsen
Sonni Christine Jakobsen is the founder and CEO of Bill Kill AS, a fintech company that rewards users for paying bills. With over 17 years of experience in banking, finance, credit, and tech, she brings deep industry knowledge and entrepreneurial drive. She holds degrees in psychology, business development, and law from the University of Oslo.
Since launching in 2020, Bill Kill has doubled its revenue annually, reached profitability without venture capital, and processed over NOK 1.7 billion in transactions. In 2025, the company expanded to Sweden with strong traction.
Under Sonni’s leadership, the company continues to grow its footprint while remaining committed to building sustainable, user-driven financial technology.
Erik
VasaAsen
Erik Vasaasen is a senior security advisor and technologist with 30 years of experience in software development, project leadership, and information security. He specializes in payment security, identity & access management, and cloud-native architecture, and has created several patents for strong-customer-authentication mechanisms.
Educated in computer science, organisational psychology, and political science, he has wide interests and works in multiple fields. His work ranges from designing PSD2-grade security frameworks and leading distributed engineering teams to guiding organisations through SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits and developing custom web solutions.

Stian Mjelve Strandem is a seasoned Norwegian technology entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in developing and delivering bespoke IT solutions.
As the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Bill Kill AS. Stian's extensive experience encompasses both strategic leadership and hands-on technical execution. His expertise in full-stack development, combined with his ability to guide startups from concept to scalable platforms, underscores his commitment to innovation and excellence in the tech industry.
